I am always a sucker for how people customize the ships I build. It is how I started building in the first place, making ships from Evvva, Martina, and Asynja prettier (at least in my humble opinion) and to this day I encourage captains to do the same to mine, at least within limits of the rules.
Here we have a nice one from Ardel, nothing drastic, just a distinctive darkening of the textures I originally used on Furia. I think it looks great! A slightly older time than the ships we use in SL, but still relevant Cats, ships, and sailors go far back into antiquity. Here is a video detailing some of the highlights and reasons. No, I am not about to reproduce this storied ship in SL. This is an almost half an hour video walk through of the actual HMS Victory Permanently Dry Docked in Portsmouth. Neat little video I found doing some research that brings our little world all the more alive. As a builder and torturer of prims, I am always thrilled to see my ships out there "in the wild" even of they are being used against me. Recently I came across something equally as thrilling, Aby MacMaccee converted Avventura, my Freebie Merchant, into a house boat.
I am sure many of the people sailing in Pirates Destiny have see it, sitting anchored not too far from Angelic's reef. I asked her to send me some high quality pictures to put up on this blog, her work is top notch and fun. |
